Transitions:
Separate specialised service for 19 to 25 year olds looking towards their future. The structured learning programme is tailored to meet the needs of each participant and encourage individuals to pursue their aspirations and fulfil their potential.

Actively Ageing:
The Actively Ageing Programme is designed specifically for the needs of adults with learning difficulties who are over 50 years old. The activities are less energetic, the pace calmer and the goals more suitable to their time of life while staying active in body and mind.

Staff Team:
All our staff are skilled and experienced to provide the best support for learning and to meet individual needs. Delos is committed to training and co-ordinates comprehensive training programmes for its employees. We have a staff who specialise in basic skills, sport and leisure, craft, life skills and one to one needs.

Total Communication:
To ensure that all our Service Users are able to express their wishes, we use signing, symbols, pictures, photographs and objects of reference in order to facilitate communication.

Activities:
The Resource Centre provides programmes that enable each person to experience interesting and varied daily activities. Each person's plan is individualised and focuses on continuous development. These include skills for independent living, literacy and numeracy, outdoor pursuits, sports, arts and crafts and leisure activities. In addition Delos have access to a number of courses offered by local colleges. e.g. healthy living, literacy through IT, personal development.

Work Placements:
As part of our commitment to inclusive citizenship. Delos offers training in work preparation, which includes CV writing, interview techniques and employee rights and responsibilities.

Where possible Delos support individuals to apply for and undertake work placements with local businesses.

Goals and Targets:
Each person is enabled to make their own Person Centred Plan which is used as a base for reviews and programme planning. Programmes are planned to enable each person to work towards making their aspirations and goals become reality. Each individual has at least one review a year, to assess progress, goals and targets.

Individual Programme:
Everyone coming to Delos has their own individual plan. This uses input from the service users, carers, families and our support staff. It looks at strengths, needs, goals and wishes. These are reviewed twice a year.
